Wild Life + Still Life = Acadia Tide Pools

These are images I captured of the incredible tide pools at Acadia National Park in Maine. Over multiple solo trips to hike the coastline at the exact right time, when the tide was at it’s lowest, I discovered a beautiful combination of wild life and still life. Watches in the Clouds for Robb Report

This was an exciting and creative assignment I completed recently for the Robb Report. The concept was to combine clouds and streaks of light with travel watches, and I was inspired by some recent images I had made of clouds where the sky was very dark. I made black and white prints of the sky images, and then photographed the watches on the prints, and with a little photoshop magic, blended the two images together. Many thanks to the inspiring Creative Director Ken DeBie, who was willing to take a chance and experiment!

Bloomberg Markets Holiday Gift Guide

I was recently commissioned to photograph a portion of the Bloomberg Markets Holiday Gift Guide, and they had some fantastic items to shoot! Among them were a bamboo bicycle, Ferrari Hasselblad, awesome speakers, skis and boots, golf clubs, ceramic knives, and a Paul Reed Smith guitar! I want it all!

Tom Ford Beauty

I am honored and excited to have been a part of the global launch of the cosmetics line from Tom Ford Beauty! My images are appearing on the Tom Ford, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman websites, and in editorials and websites around the world. The products at the shoot were of supermodel status, and had to leave the studio to catch a flight to London! Many thanks to everyone at Tom Ford Beauty. Here are a few screenshots:

Parade Cover

I was honored to be asked to create a custom image of the American flag at half staff, for the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 cover of Parade magazine. It was an exciting shoot in late August on the roof of my new studio, and it involved Marines, a 20′ flagpole, a wind machine, and special effects. Many thanks to the illustrious photo director Miriam White-Lorentzen, and stylist extrordinaire Wendy Schelah!

New Studio

I moved to a new studio last spring, and have been so busy I haven’t had a chance to blog about it yet! Long Island City reminds me of Soho, back when it was full of artists working in industrial spaces. I’m surrounded by photographers, filmmakers, painters, and all sorts of other creatives, and it’s a great environment! One block from Silvercup Studios, two stops from Grand Central, and many transportation options are nearby…
